Domed and air-conditioned, so no sun or rain worries. Lower level between the bases (100s behind the dugouts) is the pick; the 200-level press-box rows are the value play. The upper 300 deck is usually closed (~25,000 seats), and $10 tickets are offered for every home game in the MLB Ballpark app. For a social seat, try the open-air Budweiser Porch in center or the all-inclusive MaintenX SkyDeck in left (from ~$49).

Parking

Rays lots ring the dome (Lot 1 premium behind home plate; Lots 2, 5, 6, 7 general). They're prepaid and mobile-only in the MLB Ballpark app, and they often sell out. The postseason is 100% prepaid. Overflow: downtown St. Pete garages such as SouthCore (101 1st Ave S) and Central Garage (1388 1st Ave N), then walk or take the free Baseball Shuttle. Cashless. Getting there

In downtown St. Pete, ~20 mi (≈30 min, more in traffic) from Tampa International (TPA) via I-275 and ~12 mi (≈20–25 min) from St. Pete–Clearwater (PIE). The free Looper Baseball Shuttle runs every ~10 min from 2nd St S downtown. PSTA's SunRunner bus ($2.25) stops by the Trop on 1st Ave. No rail or regular ferry from Tampa in 2026, so drive or rideshare (drop-off at Gate 4).

Bar scene

The EDGE District and Grand Central District along Central Ave start right across the street: sports bars, breweries and a dense strip of casual restaurants, all walkable. Downtown St. Pete's bigger bar scene is a free shuttle ride east.

Pre-game bars

• Ferg's Sports Bar & Grill — The Trop landmark across 1st Ave S (1320 Central Ave) — huge, loud, live music; a tunnel leads to the ballpark.
