What is Fanroadtrips?▾
Fanroadtrips helps you plan a road trip around live NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB games. Pick your team or some cities, choose dates, and it builds a routed itinerary with travel between cities, tickets, TV info, arena guides and where to stay.
Is this affiliated with the NHL, NBA, NFL, MLB or any team?▾
No. Fanroadtrips is an independent project — not affiliated with or endorsed by any league or team. League and team names are used descriptively only.
What's the difference between the Planner and the Trip Builder?▾
The Planner lets you search games and hand-pick the ones you want into an itinerary. The Trip Builder auto-generates routed multi-game trips — tell it your team (or cities), how many games and how long, and it proposes several options. Anything you build there loads into the Planner to fine-tune and export.
How does "Follow your team" work?▾
In the Trip Builder, choose your team, whether you want home or away games (away is the classic road trip), and how many games. It finds every road trip that strings that many of their games together this season, with the route drawn on a map.
Do you sell tickets?▾
No — we don't sell tickets. We link you to trusted marketplaces (Ticketmaster, StubHub, SeatGeek, Vivid Seats, and FansFirst for Canadian games) so you can compare prices and buy directly from them.
Where does the schedule data come from — and why don't I see NBA games yet?▾
Game data comes from live league and ticketing feeds. Schedules release at different times: the NBA 2026-27 schedule comes out in mid-August, so NBA games are limited until then and will appear automatically once it's released and tickets go on sale.
Where can I stay near a game?▾
Every venue links to vacation rentals via OwnerDirect — near the arena, plus a separate downtown/city option for stadiums that sit outside the core — with your game-night dates prefilled so you can book direct with the owner.
How accurate are the arena guides and prices?▾
The arena guides (parking, transit, cheap eats, pre-game, accessibility) are researched and sourced, but details and prices do change over time. Treat them as a helpful starting point — and if you spot something off, corrections are genuinely welcome.
Can I export or share my trip?▾
Yes — any trip can be exported as a printable PDF, emailed, or added to your calendar as an .ics file.
Do you make money from this? Does it cost me more?▾
Some accommodation, rental-car, ticket and flight links earn a small affiliate commission if you book through them. It never changes the price you pay — it just helps keep the site online and updated. There's no pressure to use them; if you'd rather book direct on your own, go for it.
How can I support the site?▾
If it's useful, the tip jar (Buy me a coffee) helps cover hosting costs and, honestly, a few game tickets. Using the affiliate links when you book also helps, at no extra cost to you.
Which leagues and teams are covered?▾
All teams across the NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB — including venues shared by two teams (co-tenants), with a guide for every arena and stadium.
