Best seats

An intimate, low-ceilinged U-shaped bowl of about 2,900 seats, where nearly every view is close. Skip the low corner seats at the open end of the U, where the boards curve away from the stands.

Parking

There's a surface lot at the arena, but the main lot in front gets jammed on busy nights, so arrive early.

Getting there

The arena (formerly the Innovation Credit Union i-Plex) is at 2001 Chaplin Street East on the edge of Swift Current, a couple of kilometres south of the Trans-Canada Highway. Online tickets for venue pickup are at the reserved window by the south entrance.

Bar scene

No bar district at the rink. The arena itself has beer and highball stands, and the nearest sit-down restaurants and bars are chains along the Trans-Canada service roads.

Pre-game bars

• Original Joe's — 935 Central Ave N, by the Trans-Canada; bar and lounge open late.
• Boston Pizza — 1601 North Service Rd E, a family restaurant and sports bar on the highway strip.

Insider tips

• Buy tickets in store before game day for the advance rate ($25 adult vs $28 at the gate).
• Friday 2-Pack: 2 adult tickets, 2 hot dogs and 2 alcoholic drinks for $60 (Fridays only).
• Ticket specials must be bought at The Stable box office before doors open at 6:00 PM; no online orders.
• Students need ID for the student rate.
• The Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame is upstairs in the building.
