Lower bowl (100s) for the famously loud crowd; the upper bowl is steep but the acoustics carry. Downtown SLC with a mountain backdrop.

Downtown garages/lots around the arena and the adjacent Gateway; TRAX light rail is at the door. ($15–30 USD)
Getting there
TRAX (Green/Blue) to Arena station or Temple Square, right by the building. Very easy downtown.
Bar scene
The Gateway district next door plus downtown SLC have bars/breweries (note Utah's quirky liquor rules); a decent, walkable scene right there.
